Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use our website, whatever their disability or device.

Our standard

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We last checked it on 20 October 2026, using automated testing (axe-core) on every page and manual checks of keyboard use, zoom, small screens, text spacing and colour contrast.

Tools on every page

Select Accessibility at the top of any page to:

  • make text larger
  • switch to light, dark or high contrast colours
  • add more space between letters, words and lines
  • use one plain, easy-to-read font
  • underline and highlight links
  • turn on a reading guide that follows your mouse
  • stop animations and use a larger mouse pointer
  • have the page read aloud by your device

Your choices are saved on your device, so you only set them once.

How the site is built

  • Everything works with a keyboard, and a "Skip to main content" link is the first thing you reach.
  • Pages use clear headings, landmarks and labels for screen readers.
  • Text and buttons meet colour contrast requirements in light and dark mode.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 400%, with no sideways scrolling.
  • Forms have visible labels, say which fields are needed, and explain any mistakes in plain words.
  • There are no time limits, flashing content or automatic sound.
  • We write in plain English, and there is an Easy Read version of the key information.

Known limits

  • Our contact and referral forms are delivered by FormSubmit, an outside service. If a form doesn't work for you, call or email us instead.
  • Read aloud uses the voices on your device, so how it sounds depends on your device and browser.
  • We have not tested with every screen reader and device combination yet. If something doesn't work, please tell us.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this website is hard to use, we want to know. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it or give you the information another way.
